Door detail for a hotel guestroom. Since sound is so important for a hotel guestroom, this details the insulation in the wall as well as in the door frame. This specific detail had 2 layers of gypsum board on each side, but if you didn’t need it for fire rating, you could use a resilient channel in lieu of the interior layer of gyp. You can also notice the wall studs are staggered in this particular case.
